Janelle Sampey was going north on Route 3 South when she smashed into another driver on Tuesday night, Dec. 6, Boston25 reports citing the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office.

Sampey was pronounced dead at the scene, the outlet continued. Route 3 South was completely closed and traffic was being diverted off Exit 20 as a result, as previously reported by Daily Voice.

Another woman involved in the crash was taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth for treatment, Boston25 added.

"Janelle could light up a room with her smile and make you feel like family, even if you had just met," her nephew AJ Lopez wrote on a GoFundMe page. "Anyone that knew Janelle knew she was one of a kind."

Lopez said his aunt was exceptionally good at showing love for her family and friends. She made it a point to be at every game, recital and event for her children, collecting a scrapbook of lifelong memories.

"She was their biggest supporter and cheerleader," Lopez continued. "Janelle loved to share the memories we made over the years, and thank God she did, because now we have a lifetime of pictures and videos to remember her by."

The purpose of the GoFundMe is to help cover the costs of Sampey's funeral among other expected costs, Lopez wrote. People interested in donating can click here
